This rose is from my garden and is painted on an old hymn that has been decoupaged on a laser cut panel. Depth and value are achieved using transparent pigments. The back panel has textured stroke work that is glazed to add transparent color and harmony to the painting. The front panel is embellished with gold leafing and hand painting lettering.
